Problem

A living production system changes every day, and running it from spreadsheets makes every decision a guess.

What I built

  • Batch tracking from egg to harvest, with real-time dashboards.
  • Yield forecasts from machine-learning models trained on production data.
  • Feed-recipe management, automated alerts and reporting.
  • Mobile apps so operators log data and tasks from the floor.

Result

Runs production at Insectius and is offered to other farms as a SaaS.

E-commerce platform

Problem

Off-the-shelf e-commerce could not keep up with a brand growing across markets.

What I built

  • A custom e-commerce platform in Django and Node.js with a REST API.
  • Python, Node.js and Go microservices on AWS and Cloudflare Workers.
  • React dashboards for the rest of the company, and the first machine-learning models.
  • CI/CD, test-driven development and servers tuned for traffic peaks.

Result

Served thousands of concurrent users; I joined as one of the first employees and ended up leading engineering.

Automated production line

Problem

Manual rearing does not scale: labour, consistency and monitoring become the bottleneck as volume grows.

What I built

  • Full production lines designed around KUKA robotic arms.
  • Computer vision that detects pupae and pests for early, precise intervention.
  • IoT sensors streaming conditions for real-time monitoring and alerts.

Result

Running at Insectius today; in 2025 the company raised €5M to build its first decentralized pilot plant.

Forecasting backend

Problem

A growing fintech product needed a stronger backend.

What I built

  • Python microservices and REST APIs with Django REST Framework.
  • Infrastructure on AWS: API Gateway, EC2, Cognito and Kinesis.

A one-year contract in Brighton, UK, strengthening the backend infrastructure.
